HealthMarkets AMG raises $125,000 for Greater Fort Worth-Area 11

North Richland Hills, Texas – September 11, 2007 – HealthMarkets Agency Marketing Group (http://www.healthmarkets.com) announced its final tally for a fundraising effort to benefit the Special Olympics: $125,000. A check for that amount went to the Special Olympics Texas, Greater Fort Worth Area 11 (http://www.specialolympicstexas.org). The check was presented on Saturday, September 8, at the Yucatan Beach Club, in Coppell, Texas, at the conclusion of the Agency Marketing Group’s sand volleyball tournament celebrating the fundraising effort, which drew from agents, divisions, regions and business partners.

Agency Marketing Group has supported various charitable groups over the years, but this is the first year to support the Special Olympics. “We have people within our organization whose children and grandchildren participate in Special Olympics events,” Mark Hauptman, Executive Vice President of HealthMarkets Agency Marketing Group. “We believe in the organization and the many benefits it brings, and we are pleased to contribute to its success.”
